Typically I would recommend to keep it to a minimum.

 

Generally consultants are not looking for specific design skills, unlike graphic designers or architects where a nicely designed resume might indicate talent in a desired skillset.

 

The disadvantage of a creative layout is that it that they are often more difficult to process and understand. Keep in mind that most recruiters look at several cvs per day. If your special, creative layout takes more time to process, chances are less time will be invested in going through the content (i.e., your experiences and achievements).


Worst case, the recruiter will be annoyed and will even invest less time in your cv.
